Frequently Asked Questions
I lost my pie baking instructions, how do you bake a frozen Cherry Hut Cherry Pie?
Preheat your oven to 450°. Remove the plastic lid from the frozen pie. Using a pastry brush, evenly spread whole milk over the top crust. (Helps the pie brown) With a sharp knife, make several cuts into the top crust. Place frozen pie in oven and bake for approximately 45 – 55 minutes or until golden brown. You can leave the pie in its aluminum container while baking, so any juice that spills over runs into it and not your oven. Always place the pie in the oven frozen, do not let thaw. Please use your best judgment on when it is done.
How do you recommend serving a baked pie that I stored in my freezer?
Thaw pie at room temperature. Slice pie accordingly. Place on microwave safe plate and heat until warm to the touch.
Can you accommodate tour groups?
Yes, the Cherry Hut Restaurant has total seating for about 150 guests split into three different areas. We are completely smoke and alcohol free. The best times to schedule are late May, June, September, and October. July and August are more difficult, as the Cherry Hut is usually full every day. A group rate may be available. We offer complimentary meals for the tour guide and bus driver. Please contact us if you would like a quote.

Please explain your shipping policy to me.
The Cherry Hut ships its jams, dried cherries, and gifts to anywhere in the contiguous 48 states via United Parcel Service ground service. We package our jams and salsa in boxes of 3, 6, or 12. All other products are available for individual purchase. Since we use U.P.S. as our shipment provider, we are unable to accept P.O. Boxes for delivery. Please give us all address information no matter how small the detail. Examples are: name, title, business name, building name, street name and number, floor, apartment, space, and unit number, accurate zip code, phone number… U.P.S. needs all information possible even including if an address is a road, street, avenue, circle, etc. U.P.S. charges the Cherry Hut $6.00 per address for any missing or inaccurate information. Worst case, the package gets delivered all the way back to our shipment center in Benzonia. If this happens, you will be contacted to see if you would like to pay to have the items repacked and reshipped. Do not assume that your Cousin Larry or Sister Susan know who the package is coming from, please let us know how you would like your greeting card signed. We will try our hardest to get your package on its way as soon as possible. If you select a delivery date other than Now we will try to accommodate to the best of our ability. However, we cannot guarantee delivery on a specific date due to many circumstances some of which are out of our control. We use up to the date security software to provide you with a private and safe online shopping experience. Sorry, we do not ship internationally. We offer limited shipping to Alaska and Hawaii via the United States Postal Service. Please call for details.
